    My Original Dr. C. H. Fitch's Prescription Scale (Patented Sept 29th, 1885). It was used by a doctor to measure medicine in the field. It comes in its own tin box holding the balance pan and sliding scale in grains. It also has a small folding knife for separating and transferring medicine powder into the pan. With the balance slide inserted, this starts in perfect balance before anything is added.
    This belonged to distant relative who was a medical doctor in the Navy.
    The box is 2-15/16" Long x 1-9/16" Wide x 3/4" Tall. This all weighs 2.3-Ounces, without counting additional for overpackaging.
