One of the most beautiful dolls ever made was created by German born artist Annette Himstadt. "Bastian" was part of her first edition of dolls in her Barefoot Children collection. He is wonderfully realistic looking and measures 27" tall and has honey blond rooted hair, wears his original clothing including green coveralls, a green plaid shirt, and white undershirt. He reminds me of a young Tom Sawyer and if he had a toy fishing pole, he would be even cuter!
His sculpted face has such a realistic look a trademark of this famous doll artists creations.  (see pics).
This doll originally sold in fine doll shops in excess of six hundred dollars and up, however, our doll is priced to sell and much less, even if you use the buy-it-now button.
This doll had been part of a prestigious doll collection, but can now become part of your own doll collection. Bastian comes from a non smoking household and we've been told he is very hard to find, especially with his early marking.
Annette Himstedt has been quoted in many international doll magazines stating that "Bastian" was always her favorite boy to sculpt in her barefoot children series. He is in fine all original condition and will be carefully shipped to you. We do not have his original box.
